Happy Birthday to Jaxson Tate Cathcart

Jaxson Tate Cathcart was born Saturday, August 19th at 9:08 pm; weighing in at 8 lbs and 20 inches long.  I must say that he is the most beautiful baby!  Brad and I went into the hospital at 7:00 pm on Saturday night and shortly thereafter we had our baby boy (without any time for pain medicine I must say).  I guess I probably waited a little too long to go to the hospital.  Since Jaxson came so fast, I did have some complications with internal bleeding.  I had to go to surgery to fix the bleeding after delivering that night and needed four units of  blood.  It really sounds a lot worse than what it really was.  Brad does admit that he was scared, but I honestly wasn’t because I felt pretty good considering what was going on and I knew that I was in wonderful hands.  I was blessed to have one of my very good friends, Natasha, be my delivery nurse.  Between her and my midwife at my side, I knew that I was going to be OK.  Everything worked out just fine and we were all able to come home today. It is very nice to be home and to start our new life with our little man.  Brad and I want to thank everyone for their thoughts and prayers throughout the past several months.  You are all so very important to us and our new little boy.

You are right! He’s beautiful! Or should I say handsome! Perfect complexion and a good size boy. Brad and you look so happy. Enjoy every minute because they grow up too fast! You’ll hear that a million times but I’m not kidding! Keep sharing photos! I love to see how you are growing as a mother and how your little baby is growing too. Tell Brad congrats from me also. Hugs and kisses!

Love the outfit–something tells me Jaxson will have quite a bit of black & gold in his wardrobe. Congratulations.
