Easter Day

On Easter morning we headed up to Mom and Mike’s house to spend the day.  They ended up having almost 30 family and friends over for a wonderful Easter dinner, including my in-laws, Steve and Kris.  Both of Mike’s kids were able to make it up too with their families.  We got to meet the newest addition to the family.  Jason and Maggie had a baby boy, Patrick, two weeks ago, so it was wonderful to see him.  This was the first time in several years that we’ve had all of the grandchildren together and of course we got a picture.  After lunch, Mom and Mike did an Easter Egg Hunt for the kids.  They all had a wonderful time, despite the wind, running all over the backyard looking for the eggs.  Holden was happy with just finding four eggs.  He stopped and set up camp in the backyard to go through his loot.  After all of the eggs were found, they enjoyed playing outside and jumping in the jumphouse.  Later that afternoon we headed out to the farm.  We got to see some brand new baby kitties and of course all of the cows, horses, and dogs.  Holden wasn’t a fan of being outside at the farm because the wind was just terrible and I’m sure that it was bothering his ear since we are battling another stubborn ear infection 😦  So we headed inside and watched the Shroud of Turin while Holden napped.  This was very interesting and it lead to quite the religious conversation between Dad, Brandon, Jess, Brad and me.  It was a great time.  We are truly blessed!

It's always a good time when Uncle Brandon's around.
